Our "Gene Community"

Students were given a nucleus (Easter Egg) with several variations of dominant and recessive traits represented by different candies.  They had to use their acquired knowledge to determine the characteristics of each member of the community.  From deciding whether the chromosomes made a girl or boy, to figuring out which gene was dominant to determine whether or not their person had freckles, these fifth graders made a  unique community of people.
